This Red Beech is located in Forest Glade Gardens,Mount Macedon. This Red Beech is significant for scientific, social and aesthetic reasons at the State level.

The Red Beech is endemic to New Zealand and uncommon in Victoria; there is currently only one other example in the Significant Tree Register (T12020).At 18.5m with a canopy spread of 11m, this is avery large example of the species.
